Burglar caught with loot in wheelie bin
A 21-year-old burglar was caught inside the premises of Kgothalang Primary School, in Wattville, pushing a wheelie bin loaded with school equipment, on the night of October 27.
Actonville police spokesperson Mack Mngomezulu said the man was noticed by a passer-by who heard the noise coming from the school.
“Upon taking a closer look he noticed a man coming out of the school staff room pushing the bin,” said Mngomezulu.
He quickly shouted for assistance from the people who were holding a meeting in one of the classes and they managed to apprehend the man.
Inside the dustbin they found computer screens, keyboards, a wall watch, radio, speakers and electric cable.
The suspect was charged with burglary and possession of stolen goods and is due to appear in the Benoni Magistrates Court, soon.
