Boy (10) hit by car, seriously injured

A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was stuck by a bakkie on Putfontein Road, on Thursday, October 16.

“Paramedics assessed the boy and found that he had suffered serious injuries,” said ER24 JHB East spokesperson Glen Orritt.

“Advanced life support intervention was needed and the boy was placed on a manual ventilator before being transported to hospital by ER24.”

This was the second pedestrian accident on Putfontein Road this week.
