Death of Helen Scott
Helen Audrey Scott (née Pypers) has died, a few days before she would have turned 80.
Helen was born in Boksburg on October 2, 1934.
She grew up in Pretoria.
After school she moved to Port Elizabeth, where she met Colin who became her husband on December 1, 1961. Later they moved to Benoni.
Helen was the PA to the managing editor, and manager, of the Benoni City Times and Amalgamated Press (part of Caxton Newspapers) from 1988 till her retirement in 2000.
She then dedicated her life to being a caregiver at Hospice, until her health would no longer allow it.
Helen passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, with Colin at her side.
She is survived by Colin, daughter Janet, son Paul, daughter-in-law Wendy and five grandchildren, Megan, Kayleigh, Brad, Skye and Kyla, who were the apples of her eye.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, at the Maranatha Church, in Dann Road, Kempton Park, at midday.
