Mob justice unleashed on jealous ex after couple and toddler are burnt to death

Actonville police spokesperson Capt Mack Mngomezulu said the Wattville couple and their child were asleep when the woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly set their shack alight.

All three victims were declared dead by paramedics on the scene.

Police were alerted to the situation only when community members unleashed mob justice on the ex-boyfriend.

“Police managed to rescue the man from the angry members of the community and he was taken to hospital for medical attention; he is still in hospital under the police guard,” said Mngomezulu.

Police are requesting more information from the community, to help them with the investigation.
