Feast your eyes on artistic talent
Entries for the Lions International Peace Poster Contest will be on display at the Lakeside Mall from September 2 till 5.
About 140 posters from 14 schools can be viewed at the mall’s entrance five.
The top two artists from each school will progress to the prize giving ceremony, on Saturday, at St Francis College.
Each school’s winner will progress to the district level of judging, with the prize-giving to be held on November 1.
The overall South African winner will be invited to the United States of America, for an awards ceremony, the opportunity to address the United Nations and a US$5 000 cash prize.
Each of the 23 merit award winners will receive a cash reward of US$500 and a certificate of achievement.
