Objections to mast tower are open

People living in the vicinity of a proposed cellular mast erection have until September 12 to lodge their objections.

Torbiouse Solutions CC have applied to Ekurhuleni for building plan approval for the mast, on the corner of Sheridan Road and Cambridge Street.

Beverley Schopf, from Torbiouse Solutions CC, said a deadline extension may be given, depending on the persistent postal mail delivery delays.

People who may object are those who live in the vicinity of the mast and who will be directly affected.

The company has sent 13 notifications to residents near the proposed site, on the grounds of an Old Apostolic Church.

Objections (including the grounds therefore) must be lodged in writing, with the council, at Tebogo.Motsaanaka@ekurhuleni.gov.za.

Clr Mary Goby, whose ward includes the proposed site, said objections can be forwarded to her, too, at mary.goby@ekurhuleni.gov.za
