67 minutes for Mandela Day with Crystal Park SAPS

youngsters taught about the late Nelson Mandela’s legacy.

The Crystal Park SAPS, the youth desk, VEC volunteers, Metro Police and two NGOs dedicated 67 Minutes for Madiba on July 18.

Food was handed out to the children from the Cloverdene area, and they also received hot dogs and party packs.

The SAPS’s Sgt Lerato Mopeli and the Metro Police’s Supt Pamela Buthelizi educated the children on safety and health.

Social worker Winnie Mona spoke to the youngsters about the late Nelson Mandela’s legacy, and informed them of what Mandela Day is all about.

Sgt Kodisang and other SAPS members engaged with the children and played games with them.

Eaton Electrics from Wadeville and Willow View Lodged from Bredell were also present and participated in the event.
