Court swift in handing down two sentences

Pair guilty of business burglary

Two men were each sentenced to seven years in prison when they appeared in the Benoni Magistrates Court, on June 30.

Mthetho Dladla (19) and Simphiwe Motaung (20) were sentenced for a business burglary they committed on June 19.

The Chief Albert Luthuli residents were caught by Crystal Park SAPS in a tuck shop, on Rivuma Street, in Chief Albert Luthuli Park.

WO Radite Motala and Const Joyce Puane found two suspects inside the tuck shop and arrested them.

Motaung was previously arrested for a business break-in and shoplifting, and currently has a housebreaking case against him.

Detectives are still busy with the investigation.

Both men will serve their sentences in the Modderbee Prison.
