Get tattooed for Brogan

Jozi Ink custom tattoos dedicated June 7 to raising funds for Brogan Mahony (26).

Mahony, a former Benoni resident, was viciously attacked from behind on his birthday, on December 14.

Because of his love for tattoos, Jozi Ink decided to raise funds for Mahony’s therapy expenses.

Smaller tattoos were inked at R500, and piercings were also done.

Mahony already had five tattoos, and added two more on the day.

The two works of art, titled “Faith” and “Hope” were inked on Mahony’s arms and, he said, would keep him going strong and pushing.

Gerald du Randt, the tattoo artist, met Mahony way back and they have a strong friendship.

Du Randt, a recovering drug addict, clean for 20 months, said: “I’ve been given a second chance in life and I want to give back, and I am doing so for my buddy”.

On the day, R5 500 was raised for Mahony’s therapy expenses.

“I am glad,” said Mahony.People are still welcome to have tattoos done to support Mahony.
