Oliver’s House will have a Winter Warmer drive throughout the winter season.
The campaign will begin on June 13, at their distribution centre (73 Woburn Avenue), and is scheduled to end in July.
Winter, however, poses a set of additional challenges, in providing essential services for the children of Nomthandazo Children’s Care Centre, which is one of the centres Oliver’s House supports.
Blankets and food parcels will be distributed to the care centre, in the Zenzele informal settlement.
Oliver’s House aims to collect 300 blankets and 100 food parcels.
This will ensure the children are kept warm and healthy throughout winter.
“With bigger and hopefully more support, this year’s winter warmer drive will be better than last year,” said a spokesperson for Oliver’s House, who would like to thank all their sponsors for their continued support.
