Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality spokesperson Lebogang Ramashala said Ekurhuleni’s waste management services renders a service for the removal animal carcasses both from residents and abandoned carcasses along internal and main roads.
“This is excluding freeways,” said Ramashala.
There is a tariff payable from the promulgated tariffs applicable for the removal of animal carcasses, on request, from residential premises.
“Carcasses that are abandoned are removed at council’s cost,” she said.
