Dr Horn matter postponed, again

The matter was heard on April 16, but postponed to May 5.

“The department is doing its best to ensure that this matter is concluded within a reasonable time, as may be dictated by the merits of the case.

“It is also important to take note of the fact that this case involves a number of witnesses who have to be given a hearing in the interest of fairness and justice,” said Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson Phumla Sekhonyane.

Dr Horn was suspended last year, in connection with allegations of racial discrimination at the school.

“A caretaker principal has been appointed in her place until the matter has been concluded,” said Sekhonyane.

She added that Horn is still on special leave with pay.
