It is alleged that, on March 5, at about 7pm, Mabaso was at his girlfriend’s residence when Nkosi, who has a child with Mabaso’s girlfriend, came knocking on the door.
“Mabaso opened the door and a heated argument between the two men ensued,” said police spokesman Sgt Timothy Masilela.
“A few minutes later Mabaso was found by his girlfriend on the floor, in a pool of blood; he was still breathing and had multiple stab wounds.”
Masilela said Mabaso was rushed to hospital but died on the way.
Nkosi fled the scene after the attack on Mabaso and has not been seen since.
