Benoni cluster gets new constables

The Benoni Cluster has a new intake of seven student constables.

Their training will run over 12 months; the first six months the client service centre and the second six months in crime prevention duties.

Benoni police spokesperson Lieut Nomsa Sekele said that, during their training, the students will also do fitness and shooting assessments.

The previous group of student constables went back to the training college to complete the final integrated assessment.

“They will finish on March 7, and be deployed to their relevant units and stations,” said Sekele.

During their tour of duty within the Benoni precinct, said Sekele, they had huge successes and would like to thank the community and sector managers for their cooperation and support during their training phase.
