St Dunstan’s achieves 100 per cent pass

St Dunstan's College achieved another record-breaking set of matric results during the 2013 Independent Examinations Board (IEB) exams.

The school achieved 100 per cent pass rate, a 91 per cent university exemption and a record number of 162 subject distinctions that were attained from 94 pupils.

William Luke Matthewson achieved a record-breaking 10 distinctions, while Tyron Booyzen and Jeffrey Horne both achieved nine distinctions.

The Rector of St Dunstan’s College, Alan Thompson, expressed his satisfaction that the matric group of 2013 had given of their best and made full use of the opportunities afforded to them.

“These results symbolise the magic that is possible when talent, good attitude and hard work combine in an atmosphere referenced against absolute excellence.

“None of this happens by chance” said Thompson,

He added that it represents the culmination of a lot of hard work and single-minded focus on the part of pupils, their teachers and their parents.
