Benoni police to hold state auction

Benoni police will hold a state auction on January 22.

The auction will run from 9am to 3pm, at the police station, at 117 Harpur Avenue, Benoni, and registration is between 9am and 10am.

Police spokesperson Lieut Nomsa Sekele said the auction will offer unclaimed goods that were confiscated by the police.

“They include audio-visual equipment, bicycles, garden tools and household equipment, among many other items,” said Sekele.

Payment is only by cash and items bought should be removed from the premises by 3pm on the day of the auction.

Television licences will be required when purchasing TVs and all goods are sold “voetstoots”.
