Honouring the fallen

The lives of the fallen members of the armed forces and of civilians during war times were commemorated during a memorial service and parade held at the Moth Reveille Shellhole, on November 10.

The well-attended Remembrance Day (Poppy Day) service kicked off with a parade led by the Moths, the Benoni High School Pipe Band, Scouts, Guides and the Brownies.

Remembrance Day is celebrated by thousands of people annually all over the world, in honour of those who have fallen.

Stones were laid; wreaths and roses were also laid at the Wall of Remembrance in honour of the fallen.
