Metro thanks motorists

The Ekurhuleni Metro conveyed their appreciation to motorists for their patience during the upgrading of Tom Jones Street, which was completed at the end of June.

‘‘The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality wishes to express its sincere appreciation for the patience shown by the public during the very difficult repair of the collapsed storm water drain in Tom Jones Street,’’ said Ekurhuleni acting media relations unit manager Sam Modiba.

‘‘Projects such as this (working on 50 years or older services in heavily trafficked environments), normally throw up numerous unforeseen challenges, but these were actually very minimal and were handled very professionally within the estimated project duration time.’’

Minor clean-ups will still be conducted on the road for some time.
