CvCiti empowers job seekers

CvCiti is a new online platform which allows job seekers to upload their curriculum vitaes to be accessed by various recruiters.

The online platform was officially launched on December 15 by Madelein Smit and Brian Hendricks.

Smit is the managing director of HR Company Solutions, a recruitment agency based in Farrarmere.

HR Company Solutions is partnered with CvCiti and has made the platform possible by funding this initiative.

HR Company Solutions receive numerous calls and emails on a daily basis from people who seek employment.

Smit is passionate about helping these people – and others – find employment which was the inspiration and drive behind CvCiti.

This platform allows recruiters to search for candidates that directly meet the requirements for a specific position.

Therefore, candidates are also able to upload their CV to the site, allowing recruiters to contact them directly.

Currently the database is sitting at almost 5 000 CVs online at an average of 100 CVs a day.

CvCiti can only be accessed by registered users who are screened beforehand, ensuring that they are professional recruiters.

Uploading the CV on the site is free of charge and there is no set amount of time that the CV remains on the site.

Those who are interested in placing their credentials online must visit www.cvciti.co.za

Downloadable CV templates and CV writing advice can also be found under “The Perfect CV” tab on the site.

“Dealing with CvCiti has been an absolute pleasure,” said Helga Gericke.

“I was treated with respect and professionalism from beginning to end.”

Another job seeker, Schalk Ember, agreed.

“I’m not even sure how to put into words how I feel right now,” he said.
