Soft opening at Eastlands

The Eastlands Mature Lifestyle Estate, located in Benoni North, had their soft opening on Saturday, July 9, with nearly 200 visitors on the day.

The estate celebrated the handover of their first 14 one or two-bedroom garden apartments.

“The three and four-bedroom houses will be handed over in the next month or two,” said the managing director, André Botha.

“We hope to have completed the estate by 2018.

“Our aim is to have an affordable upper-class lifestyle, where one partner (married or life partner) needs to be over the age of 50, the other may be younger.”

In total, there are 352 units and, although the idea was established by Botha in 2010, building the estate began only in late 2015, after a struggle to obtain all the rights to develop the land.

The estate, which is within view of the Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate, caters for people who are looking for secure, hotel-style living and are young at heart.

“We will have a convenience store, hairdresser, boutique, fitness centre, frail care, bar, cigar lounge, chemist, indoor swimming pool, restaurants and lots more,” Botha added.

“The estate is eco-friendly, allows pets and is fully cabled with fibre optics.
