Building their way to victory

The competition took place at Northmead Sqaure over the weekend.

Northmead Square and Pops Toys hosted a Lego Build-up competition on June 30.

Adults and children could participate in the competition and stood a chance of winning prizes sponsored by Lego, including a hamper worth R3 000, as well as sets valued at R20 000.

The competition took place over two days with about 400 people participating.

Contestants were given three themes to build sets out – nature, the city and technology.

Cohen (5) and Elize Steyl participate in the Lego competition on June 30.

Natalie Schmitt, the owner of Pops Toys, said the educational and fun event takes place twice a year.
