Christmas came early this year

Care and Share hosted its annual Christmas party at Old Bens Sports Grounds on December 9.

About 150 children from Angel Wings Care Centre, the Red Cross Society, Colin House, Manger Care Centre and Samkelo Esihle Community Development Centre attended the event said Audrey Todd-Venter, the event co-ordinator.

The Benoni High School RCL and volunteers assisted with all activities on the day.

The children were given cake, yogurt, hot dogs, chips, sweets and slush puppies.

Santa Claus also arrived to give the children gifts on the day.

Todd thanked those involved with the event.

“The smiles and laughter on the faces of the little ones were beyond priceless,” said Todd-Venter.

“Thanks a million for all your help.”
