A Lego expo was held at Northmead Square on November 25 and 26.
Elmarie Gresse from Brakpan built the structure in front of her. She is also a Lego instructor and showcased some of her students’ work at her stall.
Children and adults alike were amazed by what can be build with the popular pieces.
The centre’s marketing manager, Sharné Bodenstein, said the event attracted about 4 000 to 5 000 extra visitors over the weekend.

These cousins work together to build Lego structures and figurines. Sixteen-year-old Mathew Delport is primarily the builder but his young cousin, Kegan Martin (6) helps where he can.
Nine-year-old Sohan (back) and six-year-old Arnav Sewsunker, the brothers from Mackenzie Park had a ball.
Hannes de Beer and Janice Landman are both Lego builders. They are from Pretoria.
Tony Graham from Pretoria is a member if the zaLUG Lego Club. He built the Lego structure in front of him.
Lian Kleinschmidt (7) from Emalahleni admired the Star Wars Lego figurines behind him.
Stefan (10) and Jordan (5) de Jager from Rynfield were impressed by the mechanical structure in front of them.
