Elethu Cheshire Home benefits from do-gooders

Community members, the Clicks at Daveyton Mall and Dinoto Secondary School got together in aid of Mandela Day to clean and cook for the disabled at Elethu Cheshire Home in Daveyton on July 18.

Employees from the Clicks at Daveyton Mall cooked soup and donated toiletries for the elders and helped with other chores. They are (from back): Sibusiso Zwezwe, Refilwe Mosane, Thuthukile Sithole, Portia Moropane and Sifiso Maluleka (manager). Front: Bongani Shongwe and Zakes Mothoane.

The home is a public benefit organisation that renders 24-hour services to 20 adults with disabilities. Clicks staffers cooked soup and donated toiletries for the elders, while some community members and learners from Dinoto Secondary School cleaned the yard and the home.

Dinoto Secondary School learners assisted at Elethu Cheshire Home in order to show respect and love for the disabled, as they are always taken for granted. Seen here are the learners and educators with committee members from the home.

Community members Koketso Sithole, Happy Mahlangu, Bafana Dlamini, Mandla Sibuyi and Breezeman Makukule did some gardening at the home.

Karabo Magagula and Simphiwe Makhanya plant vegetables at the home.
