Bikers come out in force for Easter run

The annual Legion Easter Egg Run recently took off from Grapes Pub and Restaurant, with dozens of motorcyclists joining the caravan of bikes.

The motorcyclists take off to drop off packs of sweets at various old age homes and patient care centres across Benoni.

According to Jimmy Ross (founder member of the SA Legion Benoni Motorcycle Charter and organiser of the Easter run), around 380 packets of sweets were collected and then distributed among residents and patients at the Fairleads Old Age Home, Rynmed Sub-Acute Clinic in Northmead Mall, Hospice East Rand and the Old People’s Home.
