The Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre was definitely the place to be on Friday night (July 7), when legendary South African music greats, Babsy Mlangeni and Joe Nina took to the stage to perform in the spectacular Ekurhuleni Comes Alive Jazz Evening.
They were joined by talented Afro-Soul jazz songstress Miranda Mokhele and the pop soul band, Encore.
Audience members were treated to a delightful evening of delicious food, good company, some amusing comedy antics and an incredible line-up of fantastic performers.
According to some of the devoted jazz fans who attended the event, it was a classy affair with a magnificent set-up.
“The music was amazing and the comedy was great,” said one of the audience members.
