Phonic show promises to be fresh and euphoric

The line-up will include the talents of DJ Fresh, DJ Euphonik, Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Black Motion.

“We are excited to bring some of the top names in house and hip hop music to our stage,” said Michelle Smith, marketing manager at Carnival City.

“Thumping music and dazzling dancing will combine for an audio-visual feast of note.”

DJ Fresh’s first four house albums, the Fresh House Flava series, are said to have altered the house music landscape in South Africa for good, bringing the genre into the mainstream music scene.

During his career, he has shared the DJ booth with some of the world’s most famous disc jockeys, including Frankie Knuckles, Paul van Dyk, Oskido, Fat Boy Slim, Ready D, Chris Lake and Armand van Helden, among others.

People on dance floors in cities such as Miami, London, Moscow, Ibiza, Brisbane, Melbourne, Birmingham, Dubai and Montreal have danced to the beats of DJ Fresh.

The show will start at 6pm, in the Big Top Arena, but doors will open at 5pm to give guests time to settle in.
