Jubilee Gospel Show

The event, the Jubilee Gospel Show, presented by the St Boniface Parish, in Vosloorus, will also feature well-known gospel artists Kholeka and Thabiso.

Gospel music enthusiasts, or anyone seeking inspiration, can look forward to a memorable evening of live entertainment and motivational messages from quality performers.

Carnival City’s marketing team believe it is a fitting way to hail the start of the festive season and promises an evening of uplifting song and worship led by one of South Africa’s best-loved gospel singers.

Malope’s music career spans almost 30 years.

She has released 32 albums, sold millions of CDs, won countless music awards, has been honoured by institutions of higher learning and above all is respected by her peers and revered by legions of fans.

From the moment she entered and won “Shell Road To Fame” Malope’s name was in the stars.

Her superb collaboration with Sizwe Zako, Vuyo Mokoena and Jabu Nkabinde weaned her off bubblegum music.

She is the original gospel superstar who performs mostly new compositions and her unique style of singing has been imitated by many young artists and continues to be an inspiration to wannabe singers.

Her TV show on SABC2, Gospel Time, unearths new talent on a weekly basis.

Her role as a judge in the South African version of the international television show “Clash of the Choirs” showcases her musical expertise and helps unearth the country’s next big choral group.

Her reach and appeal remains strong over the years and she steadfastly keeps up the standards and exploring new terrain with her music.

Kholeka, the soul sister of Bula Music, is often described as a vibrant, strong, and God fearing woman.

Her spiritual growth reflects in all aspects of her life meaning as an artist and a woman.

She was only seven years old when she captured people’s hearts with her voice.

Her music does not only reach gospel fanatics but it crosses over to all music lovers.

She was invited to perform in the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz.

Her nomination for a prestigious Channel O Award for Best Female Gospel Video in 1995 and her 2011 Crown Gospel Singers award are among her many accomplishments.

These gospel stars take to the stage at Carnival City from 4pm.
