Don’t miss the dry jokes of this ‘radio’ personality

Emerging South African entertainer, storyteller and funnyman, Jonathan will unleash his special blend of storytelling and comedy at Carnival City.

With his dry sense of humour, he tackles hunting, farming, cars, fishing, drinking, braaiing and ‘zef’ culture in South Africa.

He first became known on the local entertainment scene when online radio station Radio Raps posted some of his original material on Youtube.

The clips received more than three million views within eight months and helped push Jonathan “Vanaf die Oos-rand” to national near-celebrity status, with over 80 000 followers on Facebook and Twitter.

Now he packs out venues across the country and has made several television appearances.

His latest shows included Life 101 and Life 201, in which he brought out his unique comedic style.

In August 2014 he released his first CD, Da vat hy – Volume One, featuring his most popular jokes and stories, as well as new material.

His shows, running on March 4 and 5, will carry an age restriction of 16 years.

He takes to the stage at Carnival City’s Mardi Gras Theatre at 8pm on both days and there will be an entrance fee.
