Back to the 1980s

80s Rewind is an exciting performance which features a versatile cast, retro fashion, energetic dancing and, of course, rocking music.

With the arrival of MTV in 1981 the world experienced a second British invasion, with new-wave bands like Duran Duran, The Police and Dire Straits, and on the pop-synthetic scene we witnessed The Human League, Culture Club, Thompson Twins, Depeche Mode and many more.

On the other side of the Atlantic, we had the more rocky sounds of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, the Steve Miller Band, Blondie and Talking Heads.

On the pop front, Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel from Genesis were topping the charts, while alternative music was making its mark with bands such as REM, The Cure and Violent Femmes.

The 80s were packed with great music, so join the 80s Rewind cast to make this one party bash you will never forget.

The shows will take place at the Barnyard Theatre, Emperors Palace, from April 21 until May 31, and will start at 8pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays and at 2pm on Sundays.
