Water supply to the city will steadily normalise after power at the Mapleton Booster Pump Station was restored.
Taps started running dry following a power outage at the pump station over the weekend.
“Despite the restoration of power, some areas are still experiencing intermittent water supply as the storage level is insufficient for pumping to resume,” said CoE spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini.
“The full restoration of water supply will be gradual due to the system being drained. In the meantime, water tankers have been deployed to affected areas.”
