Kort FC wins soccer tournament
Soccer tournament keeps youngsters off the streets.
The Kort Football Club emerged victorious when they beat Etwatwa Boys FC 3-0 during a soccer tournament at Thopodi Primary School on June 15.
The event was organised by Bacha Ba Dichaba Explorers, collaborating with the 21for21 Maya’s Legacy. The aim was to empower youngsters by promoting physical activity and social interaction.
Other teams that took part in the tournament included Inter Milan FC and Afro FC. Participants received medals while Kort Football Club went home with a huge trophy.
According to Thabang Lichaba, project director of Bacha Ba Dichaba, the tournament was a success, and they received an overwhelming donation of sanitary pads which they will donate to the less fortunate.
