Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn puts smiles on faces of Salvation Army residents
Salvation Army assistant centre manager Antonette Grobler expressed gratitude to members of the club for their generosity.
Good food and good company brought joy to residents of the Salvation Army’s Goodwill Centre on May 18 as they were treated to a mouth-watering hamburger braai meal, thanks to members of the Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn.
Members of the club spent their Saturday morning spreading love to residents who shared their excitement about receiving such a special gift.
According to Rotarian Christa Valentine, they reached out to the centre to share love, hope and kindness with the residents.
“We wanted to tell them that they are not forgotten.”
Valentine further shared they are busy renovating the centre’s crèche.
“Members of the public who would like to donate towards the refurbishment of the crèche are welcome to phone the centre and offer their assistance,” said Valentine.
Salvation Army assistant centre manager Antonette Grobler thanked the club for their generosity.
