WATCH: Sweet surprise for kiddies as Santa hits the streets

Young children and their parents braved the cloudy weather to meet Santa at various stops in Benoni.

Residents of Benoni witnessed a convoy of CPF vehicles with sirens and hooters escorting Santa to various neighbourhoods on December 10.

Bringing some holiday cheer, jolly St Nick and his friends, Benoni CPF’s sector one and sector two members, visited Rynfield, Rynfield AH, Morehill, Ebotse, Northmead, Goedeburg, Alphen Park, Farrarmere and Airfield to deliver sweet treats to young children.

The initiative attracted hundreds of excited children and parents who braved the cloudy weather to meet Santa at various stops.

The little ones had an opportunity to take a photo with Santa while whispering their Christmas wishes in his ear.

According to Benoni CPF deputy chairperson, Clive Patterson, over 1 000 sweets were handed out.

“We also collected non-perishable foods, which will be donated to various organisations in Benoni in the coming weeks,” he said.
