Stone and Becker tee off to victory

The organisation will host its annual Spring Day competition at Pollak Park Golf Course in Springs on September 12.

The Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf (ESWG) chairperson, Charmaine Stone, and her partner, Martie Becker, walked away with the top prize during the organisation’s monthly competition at Reading Golf Course in Alberton on August 10.

The competition saw 52 ladies tee off on a cold and windy day on South Africa’s 73rd best golf course.

Stone and Becker ended the day’s play on 42 points. The team of Noreen Hughes and Lynda Smit were second while Ria Joubert and Sonja Louw rounded off the podium.

The senior golfers will host their annual Spring Day competition at Pollak Park Golf Course in Springs on September 12 at 09:00. The ladies are advised to dress in pink t-shirts, white pants and spring hats.
