Dancing from South Africa to the United Kingdom

Andiswa Dlungele will proudly represent South Africa and share it's rich dance culture in the United Kingdom.

Andiswa Dlungele, a 17-year-old dancer from Crystal Park, has been selected to represent South Africa in the United Kingdom in dancing competitions in August next year.

The Ashbury College learner earned the opportunity at the recent SDA Nationals to compete in the Dance Sport School League Inter-Provincial Tournament.

He was scouted by the Street Dance Association and chosen to be part of the All Star Team.

According to Dlungele, his passion for dance is evident in his words.

“I look forward to showing my hard work on an international stage and representing our country. This opportunity is not only a chance to showcase my talent but also a platform to proudly represent South Africa and share its rich dance culture with the world,” he added.

He said his journey is filled with hard work. The support he gets from his mother is what keeps him thriving.

“I have poured my heart and soul into my craft and hope that my dreams come true,” he said.

As he prepares for the competitions, Dlungele is determined to contribute to the success of the South African All Star Team.

He plans to fulfil his responsibilities, build strong bonds with his teammates, and motivate them to give their best.

He credits his journey and growth to his mentors and instructors from Dexter Dance School.

“I have learned a lot from those who have taught me, and I have practised what I have been taught to the best of my abilities,” said Dlungele.

The school wishes him luck and hopes for the best results on his journey.
