The Dream Foundation NPO, based in Mayfield, recently donated 40 pairs of school shoes to learners at Kuzimisela Primary in Daveyton.
An appeal for assistance received a good reaction from generous community members, said the founder of the NPO, Christina Mahlangu.

“We wanted to help children from disadvantaged households who don’t have proper school shoes so they can be comfortable and confident at school.
“I vowed to myself that I would never let any child lack. I will assist where I can and with what I have,” said Mahlangu.

The learners were motivated and entertained during the handover at their school.
The Dream Foundation was established in 2019 by Mahlangu after seeing a need in the community.

She said her upbringing also motivated her because her parents died when she was young.
The NPO offers a variety of programmes and aims to empower the youth to reach for their dreams despite their backgrounds.
