Cats at shelter urgently need homes

Let a Murphy cat into your home and heart this winter.

The Murphy Cat Project (MCP) is in urgent need of foster and forever homes for their feline friends.

The shelter is currently filled to capacity with kittens and adult cats that have been rescued or surrendered.

To date MCP is home to nearly 200 cats and is appealing to cat-lovers to sign up as foster ‘paw-rents’ or to adopt a fluffy ball of love.

When registering as a MCP foster and upon the completion of a home check, cats will be placed in your care until they are happily homed.

As a foster you will be providing a loving home to the animals in need, while the shelter undertakes to supply all the necessary food and veterinary care needed to ensure that the feline is fit and healthy.

Adoptions are also available.

All that is needed is a completed adoption form as well as a compulsory home-check.

An adoption fee of R850 is payable and includes sterilisation, first vaccination and deworming.

To schedule a visit to the shelter situated at 198 Kemston Avenue, Western Extension, or for more information contact Cecilia Morris on 072 463 6916.
