Warwick Taylor appointed as new Rector and College Headmaster

He officially began his duties on October 10

Taking over the reins from Michael McConnachie, St Dunstan’s College has announced the efficacious recruitment of its new college rector and headmaster, Warwick Taylor.

Taylor matriculated in 1983 at Springs Boys’ High School and went on to complete a BSc Degree and an HDip Ed at the University of Witwatersrand.

Further to this, he completed a BEd Honours Degree in School Management and Leadership at the University of Johannesburg as well as the University of the Witwatersrand’s Leadership Development Programme.

Taylor taught science at Parktown Boys High from 1991 to 1994 and was then appointed to the position of head of the science department at King David School in Victory Park.
After four years, he was promoted to the position of vice-head of the school.

From 2001, Taylor held the position of head of the science department at St John’s College in Johannesburg. In 2009, he was promoted to senior master and then progressed further by being appointed as the deputy headmaster at St John’s College in May 2010, a position he held until being appointed as executive head at Saheti School in 2014.

The school wishes him, his wife Brigitte and his family (Jessica and Matthew) every blessing for their future.
