Northerns looking for the next crop of cricketers
The U8s will have their try-out on August 13 from 10:30 to 12:30
With just over a month before cricket lovers put on their whites and take to the oval, the Benoni Northerns Junior Cricket Club invites you to trials on August 13 and 14 at the cricket nets at Benoni Northerns grounds.
Coach Brendan Stolle has encouraged every youngster interested in the sport to join them. Stolle is pleading with parents to bring their daughters as the club is looking to strengthen its girls’ team.
“We are preparing for our season which is going to start in October. Juniors of all calibre are welcome. We are inviting both boys and girls. In particular, we want girls as every year, boys dominate,” he said.
The U8s will have their try-out on August 13 from 10:30 to 12:30, followed by the U12s from 13:00 to 16:00.On August 14, the U10s will have their trials from 08:30 to 11:30 and the U14s will follow from 12:00 to 15:00.
The trial fee is R100.
