Four children injured in accident

The accident occurred just before 20.00

Four children sustained injuries following an accident on April 24.

The accident between a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle happened at the intersection of Main Reef and Modder roads.

According to ER24’s spokesperson, Russel Meiring, the three girls and one boy sustained minor to moderate injuries and were treated on the scene before being transported to a local hospital for observation.

“ER24 and provincial EMS arrived at 19:57 to find the taxi and car in the middle of the intersection.

“Medics assessed the patients and found that three girls aged 11, 15 and 17 and a 14-year-old boy had sustained minor to moderate injuries. The father, fortunately, escaped injury.

“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” he said.
