Child welfare’s Cupcakes for a Cause project a success
The project was supported by Cake Extreme.
The Greater Benoni Child Welfare would like to thank everyone who supported their Cupcakes for a Cause project for Valentine’s Day.
Vanessa Carelse, director of the Greater Benoni Child Welfare, said they raised R10 500 from the 1 119 cupcakes sold.
Carelse added the initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the help of a local bakery, Cake Extreme, which donated 100 free cupcakes.
“Cake Extreme charged us a good price for the remaining cupcakes.
“We would like to spread love to everyone who supported this worthy cause, including community members and corporate companies that placed orders for their employees,” said Carelse.
The public was invited to place their orders by February 7 for delivery on February 11 and 14. Chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were sold at R15 each.
