It was their last chance to qualify for the SA Long Drive Finals recently, and boy did these golfers fight it out for their spots.
According to Grid Pro owner Stephen van Zyl, with a blaring sun and a slight wind, the day was still a success at the Grasslands Driving Range.
The results were as follows:
Amateurs Open: 1 Daniel Prinsloo, 2 Greagan Horn, 3 Damian Swanepoel and 4 Simeon Scheppers.
Men’s senior amateurs: 1 Chris Harmse, 2 Slade Dixon, 3 Gerrie Steenkamp and 4 Stephen van Zyl.
Men’s professionals: 1 Thorne van Zyl, 2 Jason Cook, 3 Corne Duvenhage and 4 Berno Korff.
The SA finals will take place, starting with the senior and amateur divisions, on November 27 followed by the Men’s Open and Pro divisions on November 28.
There will be a SA title prize-giving held at the end of each day, for the divisions that took place on those days.
