Grid number 9 done and dusted

The amateur division kicked off the day.

Grid 9 of the Grid Pro Xtreme Long Driving event took place recently at its home ground, the Grasslands Driving Range in Benoni.

“What a fantastic event,” said Stephen van Zyl, Grid Pro owner.

The amateur division kicked off on the day.

“Great hitting by our visitor Macca from Zimbabwe and Wade Dick who won the amateur division,” said Stephen.

The senior division was won by Slade Dixon who went up against Chris Harmse.

“Some great hitting was seen by these two gents with Slade taking his second win in row.”

The men’s open division was won by Marco das Neves bringing him his fourth win of the season. He is lying second on the order of merit for 2021 behind Thorne van Zyl, who is the current SA long drive champion.

“A great day was had by all and the race to the SA finals starts now, so good luck to you all.”
