Ekurhuleni metro’s waste services restored

The services at the Benoni Solid Waste Depot that were temporarily suspended in certain areas due to the recent riots and looting have been restored.

According to Zweli Dlamini, the spokesperson of the Ekurhuleni metro, the services in Wattville and Actonville could not be rendered last week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday due to the volatile situation during those days.

“The services were, however, restored and backlogs were cleared on Thursday and Friday.”
