Church invites all to learn about the history of Easter

Residents are welcome to view the display from March 31 to April 3 from 6pm to 9pm, April 2 from 9am to 10.30am and April 4 from 10am to noon.

In light of the Easter weekend, the AGS Charisma Kerk, in Northmead, is inviting all Benoni residents to experience the artistic impression of Jesus’s journey and why Christians celebrate this holiday.

The church worked on the 13-booth display for over a month to recreate a few of the places that were significant to Jesus and stories in the Bible.

The story of Judas, Peter and Simon and a replica of the cross Jesus was crucified on is on display.

A few of the displays offer residents a place to sit and pray or reflect and take in the scenery while building their relationship with God.

At the end of the tour, those who attended can partake in a scripture of the Tree of Life or Holy Communion, if they wish to.

All Covid-19 protocols will be observed. Residents are welcome to view the display from March 31 to April 3 from 6pm to 9pm, April 2 from 9am to 10.30am and April 4 from 10am to noon.

The church is based at 9 Spruce Street, Northmead.
