Pug Rescue spays 43 cats

Pug Rescue invites everyone to donate items, such as second-hand books, for their weekly Saturday jumble sales.

The Thanda Inja Outreach Project, created by Pug Rescue, recently held a sterilisation campaign for cats.

The campaign was held to assist those from low-income households to sterilise 43 cats on the day.

“A huge thank you to Dr Eales, Dr Anndrea, Dr Kyle and Dr Christine from The Visiting Vet, Sr Jonker, Sr Manne, Alicious and the rest of the Pug Rescue team,” said Cheryl Gaw, president of Pug Rescue SA and coordinator of their Thanda Inja community outreach project.

“We are exhausted but going to bed with happy hearts knowing that 43 cats won’t be having or making any more babies in an already populated world with many kittens being unwanted.

“What an amazing day.”

Drop-offs can be made at 80/1 Nielsen Road.
