Dan Triangle hosts prize-giving

Plenty awards were given out to show appreciation to students' hard work.

The Dan Triangle Karate Club had their prize-giving last year and weren’t able to make it a lavish event due to Covid-19.

But that didn’t stop them from handing out awards, socially distanced, and congratulating the students on their hard work, despite the hard year.

The junior students who received rewards: Lavanyah Naidu, William Liebenberg, Keaton du Plooy, Michael Liebenberg, Diaan du Plooy, Muhammed Shaik, Keaton Boltman, Kamesh Rambridge, Liam Lessing, Leo van Zyl, Ethan Espach, Matthew Philipps, Amy Philipps, Josh Fink and Max Frewen.

“It was a difficult year for every student, but we are incredibly proud of all our members who made an effort to train, whether on Zoom or in person with Covid-19 protocols in place,” said sensei Chris Anthony.

“We are looking forward to training hard and achieving our goals this year.”

The prize-giving was held for all the hard work and dedication the members put in during lockdown, everyone walked away with a trophy/medal.
