Over the past weekend, the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) officers arrested six suspects and recovered two motor vehicles.
“Officers following up on information arrested two in Actonville when they were found in possession of maize and samp to the estimated value of R10 000 alleged to be stolen,” said BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin.
“One was arrested on the R555, Etwatwa, for transporting liquor.”

In Thembisa, three were arrested around Vusi Musi Section and Esselen Park for allegedly dealing in drugs. Large quantities of rocks (cocaine), nyaope (heroine) and dagga were confiscated.
“In further policing two abandoned hijacked vehicles were recovered, a white Toyota Corolla at Ivory Park Extension Two reported on an Ivory Park case and a silver Mercedes-Benz at Daveyton Stadium reported on a Benoni case,” Giblin said.
Investigation continues in all cases.
The suspects will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts, facing charges of dealing in drugs, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen goods and contravention of the Disaster Management Act.
