Benoni AfriForum strives to protect Benoni

The Benoni AfriForum team work tirelessly alongside other protection units to ensure the constant well-being of the Benoni community.

The Benoni AfriForum team gathered on September 18 at their offices in Northmead to participate in the AfriForum national mass patrol.

“The event was a huge success,” explained Ettiene de Klerk, deputy chairperson of AfriForum.

The event was supported by PHP/Mamba, ER24, XforSecurity/Snipr, Bad Boyz Security group, No Jack, Super Cops, SAPS and other role players.

“We were very privileged to have Col Ndaba, the Vispol commander for Benoni SAPS, also stopping by to greet the members,” de Klerk said.

A total of 59 AfriForum patrollers in 23 vehicles and other security and medical companies clocked a combined total of 327 hours. A total of 2 136km was patrolled.

Only minor incidents were reported on the evening.

“This was one of the biggest mass patrols seen in Benoni to date. It is phenomenal how AfriForum Benoni has grown over the last year. Our team has one vision in mind – looking after our community and working closely with all service providers,” said AfriForum head of safety Jacques Laubscher.
